V.K. Agnihotri (IAS Officer (Retd.))

Vivek K. Agnihotri, a 1968 IAS officer from the Andhra Pradesh cadre, holds a Master's degree in English Literature and Political Science from the University of Allahabad and a PhD in Public Policy Analysis from IIT Delhi. His significant roles include Collector and District Magistrate of Visakhapatnam, Development Commissioner for Handlooms (1986-89), and Secretary in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs (2003-05). After retirement, he served as a Member of the Central Administrative Tribunal (2006-07) and Secretary-General of the Rajya Sabha (2007-2012). He is currently the Director-General of the Golden Peacock Award Secretariat and an Advisor of Eminence at the American Society for Quality, along with being a Counsellor at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration. Dr Agnihotri has authored several publications, including books on English prose, Indian history, and environment and development.
